Brought to you by today’s intrepid travelers Noelle and Coby.
Today our group went into St-Rémy de Provence. We left Catelnau-le-Lez at 9am. It was dense and busy, packed with little ruelles (alleyways). We split into small groups and we shopped at St-Rémy’s famous market for picnic items. It was beautiful!
My group was assigned dessert, and we bought a beautiful tarte aux fraises!
After lunch, we visited the famous chocolatier Joel Durand at his laboratoire and boutique. We learned how chocolate is made in France, and how it’s different than Belgian chocolate. There were flavors like lavender, honey, orange, and rosemary.
Next we crossed the Alpilles and went to Les Baux-de-Provence. It was beautiful!
Tomorrow we shadow our French correspondents at Pompidou.
